And we wait..

So we had another non stress test and baby is stress free ( I wish Mommy was too..)

His heart rate looked awesome and they said everything was good so now we wait.

I have an ultrasound and NST every week so we will keep you posted!

Still looking at taking the baby from 37-38 weeks (Feb. 23 - March 1)

Why yes, the 23rd IS my birthday. Boy you are already stealing my thunder! It's okay, you
 are worth it.

And that's life. People keep asking how I am going to have a baby in the middle of the semester. My answer - I have no idea.

Just take it one week at a time, one day at a time, and sometimes one hour at a time!

Can't wait! Keep the prayers coming.

Well...

Welp, Ladies and Gents -
Went to the doctor today. I am 32 weeks. As some of you might recall in the last post they said  that they would have to take him 36-38 weeks.

Well I went in for a non stress test, which basically tests the babies heart and his reactions to movement - at least that's what I think it does.

Doc said I have a stubborn baby! He wouldn't move! He kicked me the whole day before and then after they took the monitor off he kicked me forever! Dang boy. So they had to do a BPP or Biophysical profile. This tests his heart rate, fluids in the placenta, breathing, and movement in the limbs.

Luckily, he kicked me the whole way through AND practiced his breathing! Good job, big boy!

They didn't really see how big he was, they just eyeballed it and said that he looked fine for his age, just a tad bigger than normal.

SOOOOOOOOO What does all this mean? Well not much, they couldn't tell too much. They said that it would be more like 37-38 weeks now so like February 23 (yes, that's MY birthday!!) - to March 1st, and a little later if he is doing really well. I wanted to narrow down the dates, but it didn't really work.

Keep us in your prayers!

Baby boy!

So while we were home we got some pictures taken from the one and only Patricia Howell!! She is the best and soooo talented! Thank you so much, Trica P!!

Well folks, we got an update last week from the doctor about baby Morgan.
Seems he may be coming a little earlier than we thought!

So because of my diabetes he is gaining weight pretty quickly. That's not necessarily the problem - the big problem is that the longer he stays inside his toxic mama the more likely he is to have damaged organs and all sorts of problems.

What does this mean?
Well, I'm glad you asked.
That means that baby boy will be making an appearance sooner than we thought!

How soon?
Well I am 31 weeks and they said that they would take the baby between 36-38 weeks.

Why yes, that means Between February 17 - March 1.
His original due date was March 15th.. so yeah that's a lot sooner!!!!

He's doing fine now, he's in the 87th percentile for weight and his heart beat was great.
So now.. we wait. We see how things are going, and we pray.

All prayers are appreciated!

Two more weeks!

I will be home in 12 days.
What do I need to do before I get home in 12 days?
1 doctors appointment
2 study groups
1 video presentation
2 literacy state exams
4 finals
1 paper
6 quizzes
2 visiting teaching times
1 nursery lesson
1 formal math lesson plan

Not to mention the normal homework on top of that.

It's okay, I get to fly home. At least I'm not like Mary with Joseph - I am glad I don't have to ride a donkey home and then stay in a stable.. I am grateful!

Just need to get through this!

Baby update

Well we went to the doctor today. I got on the scale and realized that I gained more than I should this month.. I was hopeful that it was just me getting fat and not him. Sadly, no.. it's my fat little baby.

At 20 weeks baby boy was in the 51st percentile for weight at almost 26 weeks he is in the 73rd.
Yes, that is a big jump.
His silly mommy and her diseases are affecting his growth. Apparently diabetics have big babies.. So Mommy needs to work on her blood sugars, sorry babe.
He's not huge. I mean there are still 27 percent of babies at his age that are bigger, but that also means that he is bigger than 73 % of babies at his age.

It's okay, I like big babies!!

His heart and head are growing just fine though, which is comforting. He's good a good heart and a big brain, just like his Daddy!

Well that's pretty much it. Still working on the name... We have S- Earl Morgan. Just need the S name.

Going home in 18 days?! Awesome. Can't wait to see the fam!

So you can't really see it clearly, but this was about 6 weeks ago. So he's grown a lot.

P.S. The Ultrasound tech told us that he is already really active, great! She said "Well you guys are going to have fun running after him!"

Oh, boy.

Little baby boy!

We are SO excited about baby boy!  Especially Stuart, the nurse kept making fun of him because he didn't stop smiling the WHOLE appointment. IT'S A BOY!

So our wonderful friend, Lacey Mae, took a gender reveal photo shoot for our little guy!

Well let's see - I am about 21 weeks right now and I thought that was WELL within the "Feel good" trimester. False. Little man, you are making me crazy :) I know you mean well.
Let's see - how's life?
I eat 24/7. I wake up hungry!
Well, that's a lie. I don't sleep. Although I am tired.
I have a little baby bump and if I lay on my stomach (which I don't because I don't want to squish him) then I can feel his heart beat. Amazing.
He likes to push around my insides. My internal organs are moving and stretching (so is my tummy!)
Well, that's a little painful.

However, all of that pain goes out the window when we go to the doctor and I hear his heart beat and see him moving around on the screen!

We love you, little man!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

So today is my Mama's birthday. I know people always think that their mom is the best, but mine really is. She is a teacher, a nurse, caretaker, helper, and so much more. She is so considerate and runs herself ragged trying to help others.

She has taught me so much about love, family, and the gospel. She and Daddy-o have been married for 28 years!

The point is - is that my mom rocks. I don't know what I would do without you! Can't wait to see you and I hope that you have an amazing day. You deserve the bestttt! Thanks for all the adventures you take us on and I can't wait for all the adventures in the future!

I think I can speak on behalf of the family - WE ALL LOVE YOU!

Families are Forever!!
